Meet Kasos

Kasos is a beautiful island that many people never get the chance to discover. We hope our wedding is the perfect excuse to explore it and see what makes it so special to us.

The island towns

Fry & Bouka

Start in Fry, the main town, with a coffee by the water and a walk around Bouka’s old fishing harbour.

A little further inland

Head up to Agia Marina for whitewashed lanes and old houses, then wander through Panagia, Poli and Arvanitochori. Late afternoon is a lovely time for a stroll through the villages.

Beaches & boat trips

Turquoise water and the pale shore of Marmara on Armathia
The sandy shore and clear water of Marmara beach on Armathia

A boat trip to Armathia

Just north of Kasos, this uninhabited islet is home to Marmara’s pale sand and turquoise water. This islet is accessible by local boats that you can rent from Fry. Stay tuned on this one because we might organize a trip to Armathia for all our guests in Sunday morning, depending on wind and weather conditions.

Emporios

A small sandy beach just east of Fry, with shallow water and places to eat nearby. An easy choice for a swim and lunch.

Kofteri

A small shingle cove in Fry, with clear water and a pebbled seabed. Handy for a quick dip without going far.

Helatros

A more remote pebble cove on the southwest coast. Worth the drive when you feel like getting away from the villages.

Local Food

Try makarounes with sitaka and the little Kasian dolmades while you’re here. These are a few places to start.

Ktima Mastromanoli

An inland family estate with its own vineyard and wine. Come for a private dinner of local dishes, handmade pasta and bread from the wood-fired oven, surrounded by the island’s hills.

Arrange your visit in advance through Kasos Tours.

Churches & sunsets

Agios Konstantinos, Ammoua

Our wedding will take place at Agios Konstantinos, the little blue-domed chapel by Ammoua beach. It’s a quiet spot overlooking the sea, and we’re looking forward to having everyone together here.

Further up the island

For a drive inland, visit Agios Georgios at Chadies or Agios Mamas, overlooking the Libyan Sea. Agios Fanourios is another small chapel to look out for as you explore the villages. Ask locally about access before setting off.
